World Read Aloud Day marked in Moldova

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/ - More activities today were organized in libraries from Moldova within a campaign titled, Let us read aloud together. The activities were initiated on the occasion of the marking of the World Read Aloud Day on 1 February.
Thus, on this day, at an invitation by the Ion Creanga National Library for Children, Culture Minister Sergiu Prodan read a fragment from a work by Moldovan writer Claudia Partole, at an online reading workshop, with the participation of pupils from more gymnasiums and lyceums of Moldova and Romania.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of the aforementioned library, Eugenia Bejan, said that, on 1-15 February 2023, the Ion Creanga Library would organize reading workshops in partnership with kindergartens, gymnasiums and lyceums from Moldova and Romania.
The World Read Aloud Day has been marked at an initiative by the LitWorld (litworld.org) organization since 2010 on the first day of Wednesday of February. The goal is to promote the joy, beauty and benefits of reading aloud.
The World read Aloud day is annually marked by millions of people from over 170 countries.
