Moldovan president has meeting with EU Ambassador

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has had a discussion with Head of the European Union’s Delegation to Moldova, Ambassador Jānis Mažeiks on the relations with Brussels and Moldova’s European integration process, the presidential press service reported.

The officials reviewed the country projects for 2023, in line with the European integration agenda, as well as the actions through which Moldova plans to speed up the process of approximation of the national legislation to the EU acquis.

The head of state stressed that the institutions in charge worked for the carrying out of the action plan on the fulfillment of those nine recommendations made by the European Commission for giving Moldova the status of country candidate for accession to the European Union.
