More beneficiaries to receive assistance for cold period of year in Moldova

Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/ - A draft law on the change of the conditions of providing social benefit and assistance for the cold period of the year today was adopted with the votes of 80 MPs.

The main goal of the draft is to increase the multiplier for the minimally guaranteed monthly income, used at the establishment of the right to assistance for the cold period of the year. Thus, more citizens will be able to enjoy this social benefit.

At the same time, the draft implies the extension of the term for taking the decision on giving the right to social benefit and assistance for the cold period of the year by 20 working days - up to 40 days.

About 220,000 beneficiaries of assistance for the cold period of the year are estimated for this year.
