Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/ - The state of emergency has been extended by another 60 days starting from 4 February. Sixty MPs adopted the decision today.

The proposal came on behalf of the government and was reasoned by the current threats and, respectively, the need to ensure the security of the supply with energy resources, manage the flow of refugees and counteract other security risks.

During the emergency state, the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) will issue instructions which are compulsory and executory for all heads of the central and local public administration authorities, economic agents, public institutions, as well as for the citizens and other people who stay in Moldova.

On 24 February 2022, at a proposal by Moldova’s government, the parliament declares state of emergency all over the country, taking into account the imminent danger to the national security, triggered by the war in Ukraine.
