Chisinau, Feb. 8 /MOLDPRES/- Employees in the economic sector of several city halls in the country were trained yesterday in an advanced program for complex financial analyzes of local public budgets, supported by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) My Community Project.
Accountants and economists from various city halls took part in the event and performed several practical exercises, guided by program experts.
"The purpose of the training is to increase the capacities of municipal employees so that they know the process of performing complex financial analyses, work effectively with databases and improve the transparency of local public authority," explains USAID.
The My Community program, funded by USAID and implemented in the Republic of Moldova by the international organization IREX, aims to strengthen the capacities of local public authorities so that they become more efficient, transparent and accountable to citizens.
