Icy roads in Moldova

Chisinau, Feb. 8 /MOLDPRES/- There were icy roads in the country. To combat this, in the last 24 hours, about 2 thousand tons of anti-slip material and 157 tons of technical salt were spread on the roads.
Thus, to increase the degree of safety of road traffic on national public roads, the Roads company acted with 146 special vehicles and 166 road workers.
There are winter conditions in the south and north of the country, in Florești, Nisporeni, Călărași, Ungheni, Cahul, Taraclia, Leova and Căușeni. Visibility is reduced on some sections of the road as the gusty wind brings snow onto the road.
ASD recommends drivers to drive cautiously and adjust their speed to the traffic conditions.
