Leadership of Metropolitan See of Bessarabia meets state secretary of Romanian Department for Relation with Moldova

Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/ - Metropolitan Petru, Archbishop and Chisinau, Metropolitan of Bessarabia and Exarch of the Territories today had a meeting with the state secretary of the Romanian Department for Relation with Moldova (DRRM), Adrian Dupu, and the director of the State Secretariat for Cults of Romania’s government, Florinel-Irinel Frunză. The meeting was held during a working visit to Bucharest.

According to the Metropolitan See of Bessarabia, the participants in the meeting discussed the projects for 2023 of the Metropolitan See of Bessarabia and Exarchate of the Territories, which are to be financed through the two departments of the Romanian government.

The leadership of the Metropolitan See of Bessarabia stressed that, during years, the government of Romania had financed and backed projects and cultural actions from Moldova, the construction and renovation of churches and monuments.

Metropolitan Petru stressed the importance of the support by Romania of the Metropolitan See of Bessarabia and of the Romanians from outside the borders.
