Romania's government donates equipment worth 30 million lei to Moldova's Defence Ministry

Chisinau, 9 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Romanian government today donated over 1,000 visors, 9,000 boxes with gloves, 2,000 plastic protection spectacles, as well as 500,000 protection masks worth over 30 million lei (1.4 million euros) to the Defence Ministry.
The ceremony on the assets’ delivery-receipt took place at the Central Military Clinical Hospital, in the presence of Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii and Ambassador of Romania to Moldova Cristian-Leon Turcanu.
In the context, Minister Nosatii thanked the Romanian state for the important support provided to the National Army through the donation of this consignment of medical protection equipment. At the same time, the official said that Romania, within the strategic partnership with Moldova, had unconditionally provided more assistance of this kind to Moldova since the beginning of pandemic period, in order to strengthen the country’s health system.
For his part, the Romanian ambassador in Chisinau said that this consignment was part of the constant support which Romania was providing to Moldova in more sectors, including the defence one.
The batch of medical assets is to be distributed to the Central Military Clinical Hospital and the Material Reserves Agency.
