Consumers to be able to calculate amount of compensation for natural gas

Chisinau, Feb. 13 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovagaz company launched an online calculator, with which consumers can check the amount of compensation for natural gas. The new tool is available on the company's website, under the "Consumers" section.

To find out the volume of compensation, consumers will have to enter data related to the energy vulnerability category, the volume of natural gas consumed and the calculation period.

The assignment of the level of vulnerability is the competence of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, and Moldovagaz has no right to influence the initial assignment of the level of energy vulnerability, nor to change it later. In the case of detecting discrepancies in the amount of compensation, the consumer should contact the government "green line" 0 8000 5000, or the Government's e-mail address [email protected]. After making the appropriate changes in the database by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the provider will receive a legal basis for making changes in its own consumer database.

If the invoice does not indicate the recalculation of the compensation for previous periods of consumption, then Moldovagaz will make all changes and additions to the invoices based on the updated information received from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection in the following months.

Compensation is granted for the first 180 cubic meters of gas consumed monthly in the winter season, and its volume varies according to the degree of energy vulnerability.
