Chisinau, February 16 /MOLDPRES/- The National Road Transport Agency (ANTA) announced today that Uzbekistan imposes new rules for road transport of goods from third countries.

According to ANTA, in accordance with the note from the Uzbek Embassy in Ukraine on the transport of goods to/from third countries carried out by foreign transport operators "the road transport of goods from third countries to the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, carried out by loading, re-loading or transshipment (loading/unloading) on the territory of a state other than the country of departure (shipment), is allowed only with the presentation of the authorization for the transport to/from third countries, issued by the competent authority of Uzbekistan".

Last week, the ANTA informed the road transport operators regarding the extension of the validity of Uzbekistan permits from 2022 until 1 March 2023.

The decision was taken by the Uzbek Ministry of Transport, as a result of the actions taken by the Agency in connection with the withholding of the transmission in the established terms of the quota of authorizations for the current year.

ANTA warns transport operators that when submitting requests they can use the e-transport authorization information system.
