Chisinau, 16 February /MOLDPRES/ -Prime Minister-designate Dorin Recean today unveiled the action programme of the future government in parliament. The official said that the economic development and the ensuring of peace and stability in Moldova were among the priorities of the governmental team.

Dorin Recean noted that Moldova was presently facing more challenges, triggered, in particular, by the inflation, by the war in Ukraine and unprecedented increases in prices for energy. ‘’In these conditions, a priority of the future government is peace and stability. We experience troubled times; we should cope with these challenges, consolidate the defence capacity, invest in the capacity of ensuring the public order,’’ Dorin Recean said.

At the same time, a new priority announced by Recean is the economic development. ‘’My priority is to bring efficiency and order to the governmental institutions, so that the public services are productive and the citizens and the business environment feel comfortably. The cabinet I am set to lead will focus on the economic development. We should make available to economic agents enough resources, so that they create jobs, increase the productivity and the salaries. The economic development implies the access of enterprises to international capital markets,’’ Recean specified.

According to the PM-designate, Moldova might face, in continuation, serious energy problems. In this respect, the creation of a new ministry – Energy Ministry – is suggested in the future cabinet.

Dorin Recean also highlighted other goals of the action programme proposed, including the speeding up of the European integration process, acceleration of the justice reform, fighting corruption, launch of new businesses, attraction of new investments and the peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.

Following the presentation of the government’s action programme, Dorin Recean answered MPs’ questions.

Under the constitutional provisions, the action programme and the list of the cabinet are discussed in parliament. The parliament gives vote of confidence to the government with the votes of the majority of the lawmakers.
