Chisinau, 16 February /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s parliament today gave vote of confidence to the government led by Dorin Recean. The draft was approved with the votes of 62 MPs.

More citizens staged a protest outside the parliament building during the parliament meeting when the appointment of the new government was considered.
Under the constitutional provisions, the parliament gives vote of confidence to the government with the votes of the majority of the lawmakers elected. Based on the vote given by the parliament, the Moldovan president appoints the government. The latter fulfills its duties starting from the day when the cabinet members take the oath before the head of state.
The new government was appointed after Natalia Gavrilita in late last week had tendered resignation from the office of PM, after one year and half of mandate.
