Moldovan PM introduces new government's secretary general to staff

Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean today introduced new Government’s Secretary General Artur Mija to the staff. Mija was appointed to office at the today’s cabinet meeting, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

The PM expressed confidence that Secretary General Artur Mija would contribute to the optimization of the institution’s work. At the same time, he thanked the former secretary general, Igor Talmazan, for the enhancement of the efficiency and improvement of the working processes at the State Chancellery.  

„I would like to note that the efficiency not always means much work. Efficiency means the correct planning of the time for the fulfillment of tasks with a high productivity. I wish you to be efficient, to work with pleasure and have according results,’’ the prime minister said.  

For his part, Secretary General Artur Mija referred to the goals set for the next period. He noted that the government’s basic priorities regarded the discipline and order in the state’s institutions, ensuring the stability and economic development. ‘’I want you to ask to do three things together: to delimit the priorities, to check the processes implemented and to focus in our work on solutions, not on problems. At the same time, the State Chancellery will have, in continuation, the important role in the process of integration into the European Union,’’ the State Chancellery’s head said.  

Artur Mija graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova and has degree in economics, specialized in marketing and logistics. Starting from July till November 2019, he acted as head of the office of the then prime minister, Maia Sandu.
