Chisinau, February 21 /MOLDPRES/- Several permissive documents in the border area will be requested and issued online. This will be possible after today the National Border Police Inspectorate (INPF) launched the e-permit information system. The service is free.

INPF head Rosian Vasiloi said that during 2022, Border Police employees issued about 28 thousand permissive documents, and their completion on paper requires more time and effort. With the launch of the new service, permits will be accessible on the same day of application. The creation of the information system cost about 600 thousand lei, money allocated from the state budget.

"We set out to adjust and align our activity procedures to EU good practices, which are based on modern technologies, the simplification of procedures for obtaining permits to be in the border area and the interoperability of different information systems. These things ensure easier access to information and offer citizens better services", said Rosian Vasiloi.

On the new platform, it will be possible to request six documents, including access permits to the border area for citizens of the Republic of Moldova and foreigners, approval for hunting, access permit for floating vehicles in the state border area, temporary permit at a crossing point state border and activity permit at state border points for legal entities.

To submit applications online, citizens will need to access the Border Police's web page under the e-permit section. Applicants will fill in a form with personal data and send the application. Afterwards, the application will be examined by the employees of the Border Police, who will decide to issue the permit online.

So far, applications were submitted on paper, and permits were issued in 5-10 days, depending on the requested document.
