Moldovan deputy PM has meeting with Lithuanian parliament's delegation

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian has had a meeting with a delegation of the Lithuania parliament and experts in the national security sector from Lithuania, on a fact-collecting visit to Moldova, the Reintegration Policies Bureau reported.  

The officials tackled subjects on the regional security situation in the context of the new realities and challenges triggered by the war in Ukraine, including the fight against propaganda and misinformation, efforts made by Moldova’s constitutional authorities to contribute to maintaining stability and security, as well as the developments recorded in the Transnistrian conflict settlement process.    

Deputy PM Oleg Serebrian pointed out the goals of Moldova’s reintegration, stressing Chisinau’s determination to continue the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict, with the preservation of the European integration perspective.   

At the same time, Serebrian highlighted the need to fulfill the objectives of the region’s demilitarization and democratization as factors due to contribute to the advancement of the process of Moldova’s reintegration.  

The deputy prime minister for reintegration thanked the officials for openness and interest in the Transnistrian conflict settlement process.
