Moldovan government approves public finance management development strategy for next 8 years

Chisinau, February 22 /MOLDPRES/ - Government today approved the draft Public Finance Management Development Strategy for 2023-2030. It aims to increase the efficiency, performance and transparency of public finances, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

"In this context, it is necessary to fully implement a healthy governance of public finances,and to apply a closer cooperation between all the actors involved in the public finance segment", Minister of Finance Veronica Sirețeanu said.

The document includes strategic intervention directions aimed at improving the fiscal framework, strengthening the process of planning, execution and reporting of public finances, increasing revenues, strengthening the public procurement system and improving internal control by increasing transparency and accountability, as a result ensuring an increase accelerated and sustainable economic.

The public finance management development strategy for 2023-2030 continues the logical chain of reforms already implemented or initiated recently.
