Moldovan government's secretary general meets Romanian counterpart

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - Aspects concerning the implementation of the provisions of the agreement concluded between the governments Moldova and Romania on the programme on technical and financial assistance, worth 100 million euros, have been discussed at a meeting between Government’s Secretary General Artur Mija and his Romanian counterpart Mircea Abrudean, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

The head of Moldova’s State Chancellery thanked the Romanian official for the support provided by the government of Romania to overcome the energy crisis.   

„Moldova’s citizens feel Romania’s support; we thank you for the financial and technical assistance provided in the last years and for the constant backing in the process of the country’s accession to the European Union,’’ Artur Mija said at the meeting.   

The officials referred to the latest adjustings needed, in order to disburse the first installment of the agreement on the programme on technical and financial assistance, provided by Romania to Moldova. The document provides for assistance in 13 sectors, among which the energy field, the ones of infrastructure and transport, education, environmental protection, etc.     

The head of the Romanian prime minister’s Chancellery, Mircea Abrudean, reiterated the Romanian state’s support in the process of Moldova’s European integration and expressed willingness to provide the support necessary, through experts trained in the field.
