Moldovan cabinet approves government's action plan, development plan for 2023-2025

Chisinau, February 28 /MOLDPRES/- The medium-term activity planning document - the National Development Plan for 2023-2025 - was approved today at today's cabinet meeting at the initiative of the State Chancellery, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The document was set up to operationalize the provisions of the National Development Strategy European Moldova 2030, the Government's Activity Program "Moldova vremurilor bune" and international commitments, including the EU - Moldova Association Agreement, the EU-Moldova Association Agenda 2021- 2027, the commitments deriving from the status of a candidate country for EU accession and the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030.

Among the goals of the national development plan are the improvement of living conditions, the creation of a solid and inclusive social protection system, the provision of efficient, inclusive and transparent governance, as well as the building of a fair, incorruptible and efficient justice system. It includes 10 general objectives and the stages necessary to achieve them. Its implementation will be evaluated annually, through the result and impact indicators set for each specific objective.

Also today, the government's action plan for 2023 was approved, which was set up under the national development plan. The document includes commitments that will contribute to the achievement of 26 objectives with an impact on all areas of activity of the Executive and 3 priorities of 2023: economic development, state security, discipline in institutions and order in the country.

The action plan includes the commitments to transpose the EU legislation, assumed on the basis of the RM-EU Association Agreement and the RM-EU Association Agenda for 2021-2027. It sets concrete actions, deadlines, monitoring indicators and responsible institutions. In total, 656 actions are planned for implementation.

Thus, the action plan is structured in 16 chapters that correspond to the priority sectoral directions, under the government's Program "Prosperous, safe, European Moldova". The monitoring of the execution of the plan will be carried out monthly by the State Chancellery.
