Moldovan parliament speaker meets President of Ireland

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has had a meeting with President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins, during his official visit to Ireland on these days, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The officials discussed the bilateral cooperation. The parliament speaker thanked for the support provided to Moldova during years.

The main subject of the meeting was Moldova’s country project – integration into the European Union. ‘’Ireland backs us in this process and we are determined to speed up our agenda of reforms. I am sure that we will overcome all crises along with reliable partners,’’ the parliament speaker said.

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu pays an official visit to Ireland on 27 February – 1 March.
