Moldovan head of state meets Ambassador of Switzerland on farewell visit

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a farewell meeting with Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Moldova Claude Wild.

According to the presidential press service, the head of state appreciated the long-lasting partnership between the two countries, as Switzerland has been one of the principal development partners of Moldova for more than 20 years.

President Maia Sandu stressed the importance of the programmes carried out by Switzerland in Moldova in the sectors of regional development, education, health, refugees’ crisis and the Swiss partners’ contribution to the improvement of the war’s consequences on Moldova. In the end, the head of state thanked the ambassador for his service and wished him much success in the next mandate.
