Chisinau, March 1. /MOLDPRES/- Young people will be able to benefit from paid internship programs in the public sector. A draft law on the matter was examined at today's meeting of the Public Administration and Regional Development Commission.

The draft sees the introduction into national legislation of the mechanism for organizing and running the internship program in the public sector for young people from 18 to 29 years old, in order to facilitate their transition from the education system to the labor market. Upon completion of the internship program, the young people, at the proposal of the public authorities in which they carried out their practice, will be able to be employed in a public executive position, without the organization of a competition and without the establishment of a trial period.

Also, the appointment to the public office will be at the proposal of the host authority, and the executive public office will be without a professional degree.

For the 720-hour internship program, the interns will benefit from a remuneration in the amount of 13,500 lei. The number of places for internships will be established annually by the public authorities.
