Users from Moldova to be able to online consult tariffs for delivery of international mail parcels

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - Users will be able to online consult the tariffs for the delivery of international mail parcels, suggested by various providers. The members of the parliament’s commission for foreign policy and European integration considered a draft law to this effect today.

Thus, according to the authors, competition will be stimulated and a more efficient supervision of this sector will be ensured. As a result, the unjustified tariff differences, as well as the tariffs paid by private people and small- and medium-sized enterprises will decrease. Or at present, the high delivery prices for the international mail services represent one of the principal obstacles for the online buyers and electronic traders.

The draft law was worked out by the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry, in the context of the transposition of the Regulation on Cross-border Parcel Delivery Services of the European Parliament and European Council.
