Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has conveyed a message on the occasion of the Memory and Gratitude Day, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The message reads:
”On the Memory and Gratitude Day, we commemorate those who died in the 1992 war for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence.
The state remains with the veterans and their cares. The government has recently backed the increase in the monthly allocation for the veterans of the war at Dniester.
We keep memory of those who proved sacrifice and were devoted to the our country and the ideals of our democracy.
The citizens on the two banks of Dniester are solidary in their will to live in a modern, prosperous and free country.
And today too, on the Memory Day, I recall a constant priority of the new government: we should be strong and work everybody for our unity for Moldova’s European future.’’
