Moldovan president meets EU Commissioner for Justice

Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders. The officials discussed the march of the justice reform in Moldova.

According to the presidential press service, the head of state referred to the resistance to change put up by certain people from the system. The Moldovan president reconfirmed the leadership’s determination to make the law equal for everybody.

„The European Union will back us in continuation in our efforts of cleaning the justice and of consolidating the institutions due to combat the corruption. Those who do not appreciate these efforts are the compromised people from justice. Nevertheless, we will continue to change the things in this system and will work with those who are ready for change and want the Moldovan justice to regain the confidence of the citizens and to put the law at the head,’’ the head of state stressed.
