Moldova's Civil Aviation Authority explains steps citizens should make, if flight is cancelled, delayed

Chisinau, 3 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) has explained the steps citizens should make, if a flight is cancelled or delayed. The information was published, after more flights had been cancelled or recorded delays on the last period.  

Thus, if the passenger purchased a plane ticket from an air company for a regular flight, the assistance is to be provided by the concerned company. The requests and claims will be submitted to the address of the air company and afterwards, if there is an unsatisfactory result,  0to the AAC’s address. Concomitantly, citizens can call the consumer’s phone number, (022) 823583, for consultation.    

In the case of a non-regular flight, charter, when the passenger bought a tourist package, through a tourist agency and has no direct contractual relation with the air company, the assistance will be provided by the tourist agency. The requests and claims will be submitted to the address of the tourist agency and subsequently, in case of an unsatisfactory result, - to AAC’s address.

Last week, the Wizz Air low-cost air operator informed that it would suspend all flights to and from Chisinau starting from 14 March 2023. At the same time, more flights operated by the Air Moldova company were cancelled on the last days, with operational difficulties invoked.
