Nineteen rescuers of Moldova's General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations to become divers

Chisinau, 3 March /MOLDPRES/ - Nineteen rescuers of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) will become divers, after finishing a training course in the field.
According to IGSU, the training courses take place at the search-and-rescuer regional department No 1 from Chisinau on 13 February – 9 March 2023. Thus, the rescuers from the north, south and centre territorial subdivisions benefit from a theoretical, as well as practical course, in order to get qualification in the sector.
The new divers are guided as instructors on how to correctly make divings under water, the time of stay at depth, as well as the alert signals in case of risk situations. At the same time, they take over techniques on ways of search in water basins, as well as the getting of people out of water.
Besides the theoretical activities, the rescuers test their capacities in water basins, equipped properly. In the end, IGSU employees will take a qualification exam and will subsequently participate in missions.
According to the quoted source, the training course has the goal to train specialists in the field, through carrying out underwater works of recovering people and saving human lives.
