As many as 110 new titles of textbooks to reach Moldovan schools till 1 September 2024

Chisinau, 3 March /MOLDPRES/ - The pupils from the primary schools, gymnasiums and lyceums till 1 September 2024 will learn based on new textbooks, due to meet the new school curriculum, changed in 2018. The first 43 new titles of textbooks will reach schools till the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year and another 67 titles are to be edited till 1 September 2024.     

The requirements specific for the procedure of procurement of school textbooks were discussed at a today’s meeting with representatives of publishing houses interested, held at the Education Ministry.   

Education and Research Minister Anatolie Topala asked publishing houses’ representatives to involve the most experimented and qualified teachers in the preparation of the draft textbooks, due to meet the rigours in the field, as well as the expectations of the pupils and teachers.   

„The procedure is carried out according to a new regulation on the selection and purchasing of school textbooks, which improves the normative framework as to the supply with school manuals and teaching facilities in the general education, through the implementation of criteria of evaluation, due to allow the correct working out and assessment of modern textbooks,’’ the education minister said.   

The tender for the manuals due to reach schools till 2024 will be announced on the immediately next period. Sixty seven textbook titles are to be bought, of which 52 titles for the primary and gymnasium education and 15 titles for the lyceum education.
