Chisinau, 6 March /MOLDPRES/ - Employers can submit applications to apply for subsidies for the employment of more categories of jobless people, who need additional support on the labour market.

According to the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), the subsidies are provided for the employment of the following categories of unemployed: young people with between 16 and 18 years of age, who remained without parental care, people with disabilities, long-lasting jobless people, the people of 50 years of age or older, people released from detention places, victims of the trafficking of human beings, people who fight against the consumption of drugs or psychotropic substances, following the social and psychological rehabilitation and the victims of the domestic violence.

Thus, the economic agents who employ these categories of jobless people for an indefinite or definite period, with duration of at least 12 months, receive monthly subsidies worth 80 per cent of the quantum of the basic salary, but not more than 50 per cent of the average monthly salary on the economy for the previous year, for a term of six months, for each jobless person employed. The subsidies are provided, in order to partially compensate the salaries of the jobless people employed.

At the same time, employers who create or adapt jobs and employ jobless people with disabilities can benefit from compensation of 50 per cent (in case of employment of people with medium disabilities) or 75 per cent (in the case of people with pronounced or severe disabilities) of the costs borne by the employer. The size of the subsidy cannot exceed the quantum of ten average monthly salaries on the economy from the year before, for each job created or adapted.

To submit the application and the declaration on meeting the conditions for the providing of monthly subsidies, employers can appeal to the territorial subdivision for employment (https://anofm.md/ro/subdiviziuni) , in the area of which they carry out their work. Also, for additional information, economic agents can call the ANOFM call centre -0 8000 1000.
