Moldovan parliament hosts exhibition by fine artist

Chisinau, 8 March /MOLDPRES/ - A painting and sculpture exhibition by fine artist Stefan Popa titled, Flowers for Her, dedicated to the International Women’s Day, was inaugurated at the headquarters of the Moldovan parliament on 6 March.    

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the exhibition’s curator, Valeria Barbas, said that this exhibition comprised 16 painting and five sculpture works and was meant to celebrate the woman’s beauty, fragility and resistance. The artist’s works display a diversity of flowers, reproduced in a realistic way, full of vitality and with a generosity of shapes and colours.    

Fine artist Stefan Popa was born in the Mandresti village, central Telenesti district. He finished the Igor Vieru Academic Lyceum of Fine Arts and the State Institute of Fine Arts from Tallinn, Estonia. The artist works as teacher at the Alexandru Plamadeala Fine Arts College. He is PhD in pedagogy, designer, member of the Fine Artists’ Union and of the Architects’ Association from Moldova, affiliated with UNESCO. The fine artist had many personal and group exhibitions and his works are present in public and private collections in France, Germany, Moldova, Romania, Ukraine.         

The exhibition will be staged till 31 March.
