Moldovan president meets Polish envoy

Chisinau, March 9. /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu had a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to our country H.E. Tomasz Kobzdej, in the context of the recent visit the Chisinau official had to Warsaw, the presidential press service has reported.

The meeting focused on the political situation in the country, security developments in the region and the bilateral agenda between the Republic of Moldova and Poland.

The head of state thanked the ambassador for Poland's contribution to the modernization projects of our country, and said that we want closer cooperation in priority sectors such as agriculture and transport, as well as a more effective partnership in the ensuring public order.

At the same time, Maia Sandu emphasized the importance of the political support that Poland gives us within the European institutions, and our support on the EU accession.
