Moldovan authorities speak out for balancing social assistance system

Chisinau, 9 March /MOLDPRES/ - The authorities speak out for balancing the social assistance system, so that there is equity and correctness. Prime Minister Dorin Recean has made statements to this effect following a visit to the northern Briceni district.       

„We must balance the social assistance system, so that there is equity and correctness. There are complaints that some people parasitize on this social assistance and I entrusted the subject with the Labour Ministry. We must revise the system, so that the social assistance goes exactly where it is absolutely necessary and those who can work should be employed,’’ Dorin Recean said.    

In Briceni, PM Dorin Recean discussed with more fruit growers, who are associated in cooperatives. The official noted that it would be opportune to set up such an association nationally and at the same time, to create a common country brand for the Moldovan fruits.

„I am happy to see fruit growers associated in cooperatives. I discussed that it would be good for us to have such a cooperative at the national level, as this would very much help the business environment promote itself on foreign markets. Now, Moldova reorients its commercial flows especially to EU, as well as to the East and respectively, an association is needed, just as in case of other industries,’’ the prime minister also said.    

Dorin Recean today paid a visit to the Briceni district, where he discussed with the local authorities, economic agents and citizens the  problems they face and solutions to them.
