Balti, Edinet settlements of Moldova to host events on preventing gender-based violence

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - Break the Silence! We Are with You is the title of the events on informing about the ways of preventing and combating the gender-based violence, scheduled to be held in the Balti and Edinet cities of Moldova this week-end.   

Citizens are invited to take part in informative sessions on 11-12 March, where the participants will bring for discussion forms of gender-based violence and services available for survivors women/men.

„Besides discussions, the events will include creative workshops for children and parents, as well as a recital given by local and national artistic bands. The entrance is free for all people interested, ‘’ according to the Labour and Social Protection Ministry.

The events take place within the social campaign on the prevention of the gender-based violence, Break the Silence! We Are with You, implemented by the Labour and Social Protection Ministry, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women (UN Women).
