Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration has meeting with Ambassador of Sweden

Chisinau, 13 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian today had a meeting with Ambassador of Sweden to Moldova Katarina Fried, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The deputy PM informed about the new priorities on the agenda of promotion of Moldova’s reintegration policies. Serebrian notified about Chisinau’s positions as to the situation in the Transnistrian region, including the latest events in Tiraspol.

Oleg Serebrian said that the most important subjects on the agenda remained: ensuring the observance of the fundamental human rights, including the one to education in the mother language; access of the farmers from the Dubasari district to the farmlands placed to the east of the Camenca-Tiraspol highway; maintaining the stability and continuing the dialogue in the present formats, in order to solve the problems faced by the residents on the two banks of Dniester, as well as the economic agents.

The deputy prime minister thanked for the assistance provided to Moldova by the Swedish government, in particular in the field of promoting confidence building projects in the Security Zone and support to protect human rights in the Transnistrian region.
