Moldovan foreign affairs ministry condemns new commentaries by official representative of Russian diplomacy

Chisinau, 14 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) has come up with a commentary on statements made by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry today, the MAEIE press service reported.   

The commentary reads:

”We vehemently condemn the new untrue and groundless commentaries made by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry today.   

Our government has a firm mandate on behalf of the citizens to maintain the peace, security and democracy in Moldova. We work in the interest of our citizens and we have an irreversible commitment to edify a European, strong and prosperous Moldova, for the benefit of all our residents.  

Starting the first day of the war, we condemned Russian aggression in Ukraine, a conflict which causes destructions and suffering in the neighbour country, in the region and on the entire European continent. As a responsible member of the European community, Moldova is firmly engaged in efforts to promote peace and stability all over the world.  

We are resolute in our determination to become a member state of the European Union - a goal backed by most our citizens. We will continue to work with the greatest dedication and resolution to achieve this goal, turning down any attempt to undermine our efforts through the spread of false and manipulating charges.’’
