Taraclia received icon, books from Bulgaria

Chisinau, March 15. /MOLDPRES/- A copy of the 8th century Mozdok Icon of the Mother of God by Burgas icon painter Toshko Vachev, along with more children's literature by Bulgarian authors were donated to the Taraclia city administration by winner of Miss Bulgaria 2022 Oxana Jeliapova, born in Moldova, BTA has reported.

"I express my sincere gratitude to Oxana Jeliapova for her wonderful contribution to the knowledge of Bulgarian culture among our young generation. I also thank the icon painter who donated one of his works to the city," said Taraclia mayor Veaceslav Lupov said.

Lupov added that the books have already been donated to the city's kindergartens, "where from a young age they can cultivate the love for the language, traditions and culture of the Bulgarian people."
