Moldovan PM meets local public authorities in Drochia

Chisinau, March 16. /MOLDPRES/- Joining the efforts of central and local public authorities to speed up regional development, the population's access to quality public services, the modernization of infrastructure and the economic transformation of localities were the main issues discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean with local public authorities in Drochia, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The official said that the Government will gradually remove the existing blockages in the activity of local authorities, so that the mayors have the necessary tools to solve the problems in the localities.

"Regardless of where we are and in what position we are, it is important to do so as to bring quality public services closer to the citizen. Our goal is to bring Europe home. The government relies on local public authorities to be able to build a prosperous society", said Recean.

The meeting focused on the implementation of the public administration reform, solutions on attracting investors to localities and active involvement in accessing funds for regional development. In the context, the opportunities of the government program European Village were approached, which comes with financing solutions for a wider range of local projects.

Also, at the meeting with the representatives of the local public administration, the problems faced by the residents of the district were examined, including the need to reconstruct R7 route, which crosses the city of Drochia, the lack of labor and the identification of solutions to stop the phenomenon of migration in urban areas of the country.

Also, Recean discussed with the representatives of the decentralized services in Drochia about facilitating citizens' access to public services and creating favorable conditions for the employment of young specialists in local public institutions. He urged the representatives of the central authorities in the territory to jointly identify the necessary solutions to solve the problems for the benefit of the people.

At the same time, Recean paid an unexpected visit to the Drochia Police Inspectorate. "I discussed with the head of the Police Inspectorate about the necessary measures for things to evolve. There are several problems that need to be solved", he said.
