General Assembly of Judges adjourned by 28 April

Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/- The General Assembly of Judges, convened today after a four-year break, was interrupted by 28 April. The decision was made after five hours of discussions in which the magistrates decided to work out a declaration that will be submitted to the relevant authorities.
For several hours, judges gave speeches criticizing the situation in the system, as well as the latest judicial reforms, which they called "unprofessional."
The magistrates present at the meeting decided to set up a Declaration to highlight the problems in the field. It is to be adopted at the next General Assembly of Judges and submitted to the international community and relevant associations.
Also, the election of the CSM members was postponed.
330 judges out of the 425 were present at today's General Assembly of Judges.
