Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/ - Citizens will be able to access online another 20 electronic services on civil status acts. They were developed through the Front-Office Digitization (FOD) Platform – advanced digital solution, developed by the Electronic Governance Agency (AGE) and which was awarded the Special prize for designing digital services, at the World Summit on the Information Society Forum (WSIS Forum 2023). The new platform was unveiled in Chisinau today.
During one year, over 50 public electronic services were developed on the FOD platform. The services are available for citizens on the portal of public services (servicii.gov.md). At the same time, decision-makers say that other systems and services are to be created, such as e-APL, e-Consulat, e-Apostila, e-Cazier.
AGE director Olga Tumuruc said that FOD’s major goal was to speed up the process of digital transformation. ‘’We have managed to build an advanced system, extensible and adapted to a variety of new information systems and which allows an easier, quicker and more uniform digitalization,’’ Olga Tumuruc said.
The head of the AGE digital platforms department, Igor Bercu, stressed that the idea to create FOD had appeared during the pandemic, when the access to the public services was complicated because of the restrictions and the use of technology was needed between private people and legal entities. Bercu noted that the FOD solution represented a system based on components or blocks with the help of which new electronic services ca be built.
The Front-Office Digitization solution, the winner of the Special prize for designing digital services, at the contest organized by the International Communication Union (ITU) and GovStack, was developed by AGE specialists with the support of the strategic partner of the e-governance, World Bank Group.
