Moldovan, American officials broached opportunities for boosting trade between countries

Chisinau, March 27 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean approached the opportunities to boost trade between the Republic of Moldova and the USA with Ambassador Jayme White, deputy trade representative of the USA and the head of the American delegation, which is in our country for the sixth meeting of the U.S.-Moldova Joint Commercial Commission (JCC), due on 28 March, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The meeting focused on economic consolidation, increase in exports of domestic products to the United States market. A special issue was the attraction of American investors to the Republic of Moldova. Dorin Recean emphasized the government's priorities in the economic development of the country, and the business launch opportunities offered by the Republic of Moldova including to American companies in the region.
"We encourage foreign investors to come to the Republic of Moldova because there are many possibilities, in various fields, starting from agriculture, the creative industry, research and innovation, to the medical industry and that in the IT sector. The Cabinet of Ministers is making concerted efforts to create platforms and favorable conditions for investors, to maintain stability in the country, but also to increase resilience," he said.
The ambassador noted the country's efforts for infrastructure development and reforms initiated in the economic field. He pointed to the openness of the American partners to deepen the commercial-economic cooperation between the USA and the Republic of Moldova.
Finally, the parties showed their mutual interest in organizing an economic forum in Chisinau, with the participation of American companies present in the region.
