Fake news with head of state's image, citizens urged to be alert

Chisinau, March 30 /MOLDPRES/- Today, the presidential institution urged the citizens to be vigilant and cautious on fake news in the public space, accompanied by the image of President Maia Sandu.
The urge was made in the context of the hybrid attacks that the country has been facing lately. "We notice that the head of state's image is used in various types of deceptive, fraudulent and fraudulent advertising promoting pharmaceutical products or banking services. Such fake news are spread more and more often on the Internet and promotes individuals or companies, and the content of the messages has nothing to do with the activity and image of President Maia Sandu", a press release issued by the presidential institution reads.
In this context, the authorities draw the attention of citizens to the fact that the information distributed in the public space, accompanied by photos with the image of the first persons in the state is a fake.
The presidential institution condemns these disinformation practices and urges all citizens to get information only from reliable sources.
