Moldova 1 TV marked 65th anniversary

Chisinau, May 1 /MOLDPRES/- Moldova 1 TV marked 65th anniversary yesterday, April 30.

The first broadcast on Moldova 1 was broadcast on April 30, 1958, at 19:00, and was moderated by actresses Constanța Târțău and Ariadna Kazanskaia.

In the first period, Television broadcast twice a week, on Friday and Sunday, then three times and, at the end of 1958, it had programs four times a week. In the same year, the first live broadcast was carried out with the help of the mobile carriage from the premises of the Russian Dramatic Theater "A. P. Chekhov" - the show "Când înflorește salcâmul".

The first director of the Television was Andrei Timuș, later a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, and the technical coordinator of the construction works of the television tower - Vsevolod Revuţchi, who then held the position of director of the Technical Center of the Television for several years and the Company. From December 2021, the director of Moldova 1 TV is journalist and TV producer Corneliu Durnescu.

Currently, it has over 360 employees.
