Young people starting business can receive grants of 1,500 euros

Chisinau, May 2. /MOLDPRES/- Young people who intend to launch or develop a business can benefit from a 1,500 euro-grant. The money is provided through a Program implemented by the Youth Development for Innovation Foundation, financed by the European Union and co-financed by Sweden through the East Europe Foundation. Applications for participation in the competition can be submitted by 10 May.
People aged between 18 and 40 who own a business or intend to open one within one month from the date of approval of the business plan will be eligible for the competition. The initiatives for which the grants will be awarded are to be implemented in no more than six months.
The program's organizers plan to offer grants worth 21,000 euros for 14 business plans from 13 districts of the Central Region and Chisinau.
The program aims to stimulate entrepreneurship among young people, boost business creation and encourage the implementation of innovations to increase the number of jobs, especially in rural areas.
