Chisinau, 3 May /MOLDPRES/ - A working group led by Secretary General of the government, Artur Mija, has been set up at the government, in the context of the organization of the European Moldova Assembly on 21 May. The spokesman for the cabinet of ministers, Daniel Voda, made statements to this effect today.

„The logistics of the event on the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN) is provided by the Culture Ministry, through Moldova Concert. Thus, the stage will be set on PMAN with the help of colleagues of the Culture Ministry. Presently, work is carried out on an artistic programme as well. At the level of the government, the State Chancellery submitted an approach to the Chisinau city hall, in which it formulated the arguments needed, in order to make a reservation of the Great National Assembly Square,’’ the spokesman for the government said.

Daniel Voda also said that the European Moldova Assembly was ‘’an event of the citizens, through which Moldova clearly and firmly says ‘’Yes’’ to the irreversible path of accession to EU.’’ At the same time, Voda noted that many messages were received by the government on behalf of Diaspora’s representatives, who want to organize similar events in the countries where they are on 21 May or who are willing to participate in the action in PMAN.

The Interior Ministry, through the institutions subordinated, will ensure the public order at the event.

In early last April, President Maia Sandu launched an initiative to summon the National Assembly, European Moldova, in the centre of Chisinau on 21 May.
