Moldovan fruits producers, exporters participate in international exhibition in Italy

Chisinau, 3 May /MOLDPRES/ - Fruits producers and exporters of Moldova participate in the 40th edition of the international specialized exhibition of fruits and vegetables, Macfrut, held in Rimini, Italy, on 3-5 May.    

Macfrut 2023 is en event dedicated to innovations in the field of fruits and vegetables, in which top world companies take part. ‘’We are here to present Moldova as provider of fresh quality fruits, as well as to learn about the modern tendencies and technologies of production, post-harvesting and packing of fruits,’’ the director of Moldova Fruct Association, Iurie Fala, said.  

The participation in the event is possible is possible due to the support on behalf of Moldova’s Investments Agency and the Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity Project of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).   

Macfrut represents the entire supply chain, with the involvement of the sectors of production, technologies, packaging, logistics and diverse services. All events of the exhibition provide numerous business opportunities and perspectives, B2B meetings with exhibitors, high-level meetings and conferences. A number of 1,100 exhibitors and more than 1,500 international accredited buyers participate in the 2023 issue of the exhibition.      

On this period, also in Italy, a group of eight producers and exports of fruits from Moldova pay a study visit, in order to take knowledge of the experience of production of sweet cherries of Italian farmers, who are among the international leaders in the field.
