Higher benefits for young specialists in education system

Chisinau, May 5 /MOLDPRES/- The benefit period for young specialists employed in the educational system will be extended from three to five years. By extending this period, the amount is also increased from 120 thousand lei to 200 thousand lei (10 thousand euros) for graduates of higher education institutions and from 96 thousand lei to 160 thousand lei for graduates of post-secondary technical vocational education institutions. The announcement was made today by Minister of Education and Research Anatolie Topală, who presented the main proposed changes to the Education Code.
He said that the amendments see that the teaching staff employed in educational institutions in rural areas and district centers, including the administrative-territorial units that are part of Gagauzia will benefit for a period of five years of activity from the start of their career from the compensation of the expenses for the rental of the residential space, the consumption of thermal and electrical energy from the state budget's account.
The draft amendment to the Education Code was approved this week by the Government and sent to the Parliament for adoption.
