Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration pays working visit to Cahul city

Chisinau, 5 May /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian on 4 May paid a working visit to the Cahul city, at an invitation by the mayor of this settlement, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
At the Cahul city hall, the deputy PM gave a lecture titled, Security situation in Moldova and Black Sea basin, in the context of the current hybrid threats.
In his speech, Oleg Serebrian stressed the importance of giving Moldova the status of country candidate for accession to the European Union, as well as the country’s perspectives in an unstable regional security context.
Also, during his trip, Oleg Serebrian visited the B.P. Hasdeu State University from Cahul, the Atlant sport complex and met representatives of the local administration, de-concentrated services and discussed with a group of Ukrainian women refugees.
The deputy PM took note of the problems in the district and urged the authorities to actively participate in establishing mutually advantageous partnerships with European actors for the residents of the region, implementing community development projects and enhancing the capacities of assimilating the external funds, in order to create decent living conditions for the Cahul district residents.
