International Book Fair for Children and Youth nominates winners in Moldova

Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/ - The awarding of prizes on 7 May took place at the Moldexpo Centre at the 25th edition of the International Book Fair for Children and Youth, held on 4-7 May.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of one of the event’s organizers, the Ion Creanga National Library for Children, Eugenia Bejan, said that the Ion Creanga prize had been awarded to writer Iulian Filip for his entire activity in the field of books for children.
The International Book Fair for Children and Youth is a project organized by the National Section of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY), with the financial support of the Ion Creanga National Library for Children, Union of Editors, Writers’ Union, Fine Artists’ Union, Moldexpo International Exhibitions Centre. The goal of this project is to stimulate the interest in reading and knowledge through turning to good account and promoting books for children and youth both nationally and internationally, as well as through backing and promotion of writers, illustrators, translators and editors.
