Young singer from Moldova gets Grand Prize a festival in Italy

Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/ – A young singer from Moldova, Madalina Lungu, has got the Grand Prix at the San Remo Junior International Music Festival, recently held at the Ariston Theatre from San Remo, Italy.
According to teacher Rodica Rosioru, Sanremo Junior is the contest at which Moldova made history. ‘’For the first time ever, we won the Grand Prix for our country! And the name of the winner is Lungu Madalina, a child aged only 13 years, who through her talent, perseverance and our common work, through endeavor, effort, huge sacrifice and support of parents, managed to persuade the jury that she is the best out of those 20 competitors from all meridians of the world,’’ Rodica Rosioru, wrote, inter alia, on her Facebook page.
Madalina Lungu was born in Chisinau on 4 December 2009. In 2022, she represented Moldova at the Slaveanskii Bazar from Vitebsk, Belarus, and at the Colors of Voices Festival from Germany. In 2019, she got the first prize at the Singer Stage International festival in Malta, the Trophy of the category at the Nighinita International Festival of Music, Theatre and Dance from Romania, the prize II at the Riga Symphony Festival; in 2020 - the prize I at the Millenium International Festival from Belarus. During the pandemic, on the period 2020-2021, Madalina Lungu participated online in numerous contests in Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain and Ukraine. She won the Great Trophy, the prizes I, II and III.
