Chisinau, 9 May /MOLDPRES/ - More events dedicated to the Victory Day were organized in the Moldovan capital today.

Members and supporters of the Party of Socialists and Party of Communists from Moldova assembled on the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN) and started a March of Memory to the Eternity Memorial Complex. They were accompanied by solder’s music, bore bunches of flowers in their hands and, according to them, - photos of those who had participated in the World War II. The former heads of state, Igor Dodon, and Vladimir Voronin, as well as more MPs, who wore the bicoloured St. George ribbon, banned in Moldova, were at the head of the demonstrators.

At the same time, members and supporters of the Shor Party assembled at the intersection of the Izmail Street and Stefan the Great Boulevard and moved to the Eternity Complex. Upon arriving at the Complex, the participants laid flowers at the graves of the soldiers who had died on battlefield.

During the actions, policemen were on duty to ensure the public order. At the same time, on some streets of the capital, on which the demonstrators moved, vehicles’ movement was ceased.

The 78th anniversary of the end of the World War II is marked on 9 May.
