Head of state reconfirms Moldova's support for investigation of Russia's atrocities in Ukraine

Chisinau, 9 May /MOLDPRES/ - The head of state today participated, along with representatives of more European countries and institutions, in the online summit of the basic group on the setting up of the Special Tribunal for the crimes of the Russian aggression in Ukraine, the presidential press service has reported.  

In her call, President Maia Sandu stressed that the abuses committed by Russia, the attacks against civilians, the violence, the war crimes and the ones against humanity would not remain unpunished. Also, the Moldovan president emphasized that the country backed the Peace Plan proposed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Moldova will continue to support Ukraine in its fight against the aggressors and will be with the neighbour country for peace, security and democracy in the world.
